Halloween at Luxe

 

there is a battle raging within me
that i can't control.
of angels VS demons for my earthly soul.

i found that the demon can enter your mind
and at times control your thoughts
and try to get you to do things
you normally don't do..

if you are depressed
that's when he's at his best.
he fuels up the anger that
has built up inside
and gets you to believe all his lies.

he wants you to believe that
everything in life, is owed to you.
and tells you that
'this is what you have to do'.

take everything that you want in life
and no one will put up a fight.
for angels and humanity are weak as can be.
and he's here to set you free.

these are just a few of the lies
he will tell to you
to get you to do what he wants you to do.

then i have the angel with all its might
telling me that
'everything is going to be alright'

to believe and feel all that's in your heart
for that's how mankind got its start.
for the heart is the center of your soul
and is something the demon can't control.

so follow your heart like you do your dreams
and don't let the demon get in between.

so in reality, i can say to you
the LORD gave you the power
to your heart be true.

Trendy with a dash of star power

 Hello, Darlings! I know it's been over a month since I have showcased anything from Luxe, but I promise I have a good reason!! I was in the hospital and at home recovering from an appendectomy. Yeah, my appendix gave me the bird and peaced out. So now fully recovered, I'm back!! So let us jump into this month's showcase!

First up, we have the "Ellen Tuxedo." Inspired by the zany talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, it is fashionable yet comfortable. It is the perfect way to dress up formal and still be stylish and not over the top.

As we see in the advert, the model paired it with shoes and some charming earrings. I chose to go just a little bit more traditional, lol! 

I did my best to capture Ellen's essence and look. While also making it my own at the same time.

This next outfit is a bit different than I am used to. Never thought of pairing a vest with a skirt, especially with the pattern and colors used. But, I will not lie; I was stumped on how to style for it, and then inspiration hit. I think the look came out pretty good myself! So, here we see the original idea and styling in the advert. It's lovely, chic, and fashionable.....however, it felt as though it didn't quite pop. Not enough color, so...

I did this:

See how the shoes make the outfit pop in the first picture? In the second pic, it's the lighting. Makes it subtle but still pops.

The final outfit was fun to photograph because I got to do it while in my proper form and while I was hanging out with family at an MC rally for the military. Now, the hat I did not wear. Why? It didn't quite fit over my ears and horns.
